Inspired by the exotic spices of North Africa and the Middle East, these crispy air fried chickpeas are packed with flavor. Ready in 30 minutes, they are super easy to make.
1Rinse the chickpeas well in cold water to remove excess sodium then place on a paper towel lined tray to dry thoroughly so they can crisp in the oven.
2Insert the wire rack in the bottom position, place the roasting pan on the rack to catch and drips during cooking. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 400°F, for 20 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
3Mix all the spices listed below together.
4Combine the chickpeas and lemon juice. Add the spice mix and stir. Add the oil and stir. Spread the chickpeas in a single layer, in the air fry basket.
5Once preheated, place the basket in the top position and cook for 20 minutes. Halfway through cooking, rotate and shake the basket.
6The chickpeas should be browned and crisp. If not, give them a little longer.
